Shipping Policy

Last Updated: July 26, 2026

Thank you for visiting and shopping at heartrivervintage.com. Below are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

1. Processing Time & Order Fulfillment

  • Order Processing: All orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.

  • Live Sales & High Volume: During or immediately following live sales, multi-seller events, or product collection drops, fulfillment times may take slightly longer due to high order volume.

  • Tracking: Once your order has shipped, you will receive an automated email notification with a tracking number so you can monitor your package's journey.

2. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping costs for your order are calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your items and packaging, as well as your shipping destination.

Domestic Weight-Based Rates (USPS / UPS)

We primarily ship via USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Priority Mail, as well as UPS Ground for heavier packages. Estimated delivery times are generally 5 to 7 business days once the carrier scans the package.

Note: Shipping rates are subject to updates based on postal carrier pricing increases.

3. Packaging & Fragile Items

We take immense care in packing every order to ensure your items arrive safely.

  • Glassware, stoneware, pottery, and delicate collectibles are double-wrapped, cushioned with bubble wrap, and boxed securely.

  • 3D-printed stackers, risers, and accessories are inspected prior to packing and boxed/bagged to prevent warping or crushing in transit.

4. Shipping Addresses & Delivery Errors

  • Customer Address Entry: Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. We ship directly to the address provided on your order invoice.

  • Returned / Undeliverable Packages: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the customer is responsible for paying any additional postage required to re-ship the order.

5. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages

Once a package is handed over to the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS), transit times and unexpected carrier delays are beyond our control.

  • Stolen Packages: Heart River Vintage is not responsible for packages that are marked as "Delivered" by the carrier but are stolen or missing from your delivery location.

  • Delayed Packages: If your package is taking longer than expected, please check the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email or contact the carrier directly for updates.

6. Damaged Items in Transit

In the rare event that an item arrives broken or damaged due to rough carrier handling, please follow these steps so we can file an insurance claim:

  1. Email Us Promptly: Contact us at sarah@heartrivervintage.com within 3 days of delivery.

  2. Keep All Packaging Materials: Do not throw away the box, packing materials, or damaged item.

  3. Send Photos: Include clear photos showing:

    • The damaged item(s) from multiple angles.

    • The outer shipping box (showing any crushed corners or punctures).

    • The shipping label attached to the package.

Once we receive your photos and information, we will review the claim and work with you on a resolution. Claims submitted without full photographic evidence of the item and box cannot be processed.

Shipping Policy - the basics

Having said that, a Shipping Policy is a legally binding document that is meant to establish the legal relations between you and your customers. It is the legal framework for presenting your obligations to your customers, but also to address different possible scenarios that may occur, and what happens in each and every case.

A Shipping Policy is a good practice and it helps both sides - you and your customers. Your customers may benefit from being informed about what they can expect from your service. You may benefit because people may be likely to shop with you if you have a clear Shipping Policy in place since there won't be any questions about your shipping timeframes or processes.

What to include in the Shipping Policy

Generally speaking, a Shipping Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for processing orders; the shipping costs; different domestic and international shipping solutions; potential service interruptions; and much, much more.
